About Jason

Jason was born in Freeport, NY, and moved to Arizona when he was nine years old. He fell in love with theatre in college at ASU and graduated with his BA in Theatre and his Teaching Certificate in K-12 Drama in the Spring of 2020.

Jason did his teaching internships at Mesquite High School (9-12) in the spring of 2019, and at Dr. Camille Casteel High School (7-12) from the Fall of 2019- Spring of 2020. He is also a Teaching Artist at Childsplay Theatre in Tempe, AZ, August 2019-Present

He has been directing community theatre across AZ including The Trojan Women by Euripides (Space 55) in Phoenix AZ, and Love/Sick by John Cariani (BlackBox Foundation) in Casa Grande.

Jason served as the Artistic Director for Youth Ensemble Theatre Incorporated (YETI) from 2020-2024. YETI is theatre attached to Childsplay. YETI’s mission is to incorporate young people into every facet of creating a show. From lighting to fundraising to acting, the YETI ensemble does it all with Jason as the core facilitator and leader of the program

Jason is currently the founding artistic direcotr of Glass Candle Theatre Company and is ramping up for it’s first season! This all while Jason is the head of the Drama Department for Heritage Academy Laveen. Where he teachers grade levels from 6-12!
